Patient PAE Treatment Testimonial – Jon

Thanks to Dr. Golzarian’s expertise, Jon was able to put BPH symptoms past him with the life-changing PAE treatment. After just three weeks, he no longer needed to get up during the night to pee.

We’re so grateful to have played a part in your journey to BPH relief. Thank you for sharing your PAE treatment experience and for putting your trust in the North Star team!

“I have been fortunate to enjoy great health with one small exception and that has been my prostate. When I was younger I was diagnosed with a large prostate and it has caused me a lot of consternation and a lot of visits to the urologist and some interventions.

What I was really experiencing towards the end was some blood clotting when I urinated and that would cause a buildup in my bladder that could sometimes cause an infection. I know people are reticent to talk about these kinds of things but I think it’s really important to share them.

On my last visit to my urologist he suggested that I come and visit Dr. Jafar Golzarian. He had recommended it two years before but I had gotten too busy and I put that off. So I knew it was time I came and visited with Dr. Golzarian at North Star Vascular & Interventional and he gave me some great advice. He taught me about the procedure. He helped me educate myself so that I can make the best decision that I could. I had the procedure done.

I was very impressed with the staff. I was very impressed with the nurses, the level of care, again the education. Everyone was answering my questions. Everyone was making sure I was comfortable. The procedure I believe from start to finish.

My visit here was probably two hours. The procedure didn’t last that long. I was very impressed with the technology that Dr. Golzarian uses. He had a large screen and he was able to magnify that screen to go into the smallest of capillaries to see what needed to be embolized and was able to really get in and correct a problem that unfortunately for a lot of men 10 years ago maybe even five years ago that that wasn’t possible because the technology wasn’t there.

I had the procedure done. I went home because I had some sedation. I took a nice comfortable nap and the next day I felt ready to get up and get back on my regular schedule.”
